Who I Am
I have always loved to create. In my earliest years, some of my favorite memories are wandering around my my grandparents house admiring the many paintings of my great-grandfather. I never met my great-grandpa, but I always felt as if I was learning about him through his paintings. I noticed his subjects, the colors he used, his brushstrokes and the way he portrayed light. After I finished my "tour" of his paintings, I'd grab a tin cup filled with water and a paintbrush and head outside eager to paint the driveway and sidewalks.
I graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a B.S. in Visual Arts and continued on to the Nazareth College of Rochester and graduated with a M.S.Ed. in Art Education. Currently, I am a full-time artist and art teacher. I teach art to grades 7-12 in my hometown where I live with my four beautiful children and my loving husband. I also teach evening classes to adults.
As the years go by, my desire to create art only grows stronger. I love to express myself through intuitive painting with a focus on color, shape and line. I gather inspiration from nature, with consistent floral, tree, bird and galaxy motifs in my work.
